Providence Baptist Church

Established 1835

Welcome to Providence Baptist Church!

All of us yearn for a genuine community -- a gathering of friends in which we know we are loved and that we belong. We want the confidence that faith provides and assurance that God is with us no matter what happens to us.

We believe that worship keeps Christ at the center of our church's life. That's why Jesus Christ is the focus of our worship, the standard of truth and goodness, the model for our relationships, the source of our unity, and the motivation to reach our neighbors and community.

Church is more than a place we go. It's the family we find when we connect to Jesus and each other. Providence Baptist is a warm and welcoming Church that would love to connect with you and your family. You are welcome here!

FAQ'S

WHEN IS SUNDAY SCHOOL AND WHO IS IT FOR?

Sunday School begins at 9am. We have a class for EVERYONE! Before Sunday School, you can join others in the fellowship hall at 8:30 for biscuits, juice, and coffee for $2 a person. This money is used to support local missions.

WHAT TIME IS THE WORSHIP SERVICE AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Our worship service usually begins with a time of singing hymns and worship songs. It starts at 10am, just after Sunday School and last about an hour.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

We are located at 918 Providence Church Road, Newnan, GA 30263.

DO YOU HAVE A NURSEY FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?

Yes! We have volunteers for both Sunday School and Worship Service for children 3 and younger.

IS CHILDREN'S CHURCH OFFERED?

Yes! Children will begin worship with their parents until after the children's sermon. At this time, children are dismissed with our Children's Church workers and taken to our Children's Worship Room. Parents can pick their child up after worship.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We're relaxed. Come in jeans or khakis, or if you prefer, come in a suit or dress. You'll find a variety of styles here, and we like it that way. We are more interested in you than in what you are wearing!

DO YOU ASK VISITORS TO STAND UP?

Not at all. We do hope that you will introduce yourself before or after the worship service and you'll have the opportunity to fill out a guest information card letting us know you were there!

IS THE SANCTUARY ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. We have several handicap parking spaces available and wheel chair ramps to both the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.
